The next day look at me here, all huddled up and soaked in tears,

My brain is weary from the fight, it won't stop turning in the night,

I need to rewind and erase or be in someone else's place,

As soon as I put down the phone, I realised I would die alone.

I know I'll never love again, 'cos I got dumped by my best friend,

He did it beautifully last night, although he loved me more than life,

I heard him weeping as I spoke, the tears welled up and made him choke.
